Reese's Big week

This has been a big week for Reese. First she learned to walk and then she used the potty. I could tell she was about to go, so I sat her on there and told her to go poo-poo and she did! She did it again today. I am not really trying to potty train her I just wanted to see what she would do. Look how cute she is on there.

Fudgesicles

We had fudgesicles a few nights ago.

The kids really enjoyed them.

I thought it would be best to eat them outside.

Maybe next time we will just eat them in the bath!

Fun Friday

We had a fun filled Friday. First we played at the playground, then joined all the cousins for lunch at chick-fil-a, and ended with a swim that evening.
Here are some pictures from our day.

These kids could swing all day. Jacob constantly asks to go higher.Reese really loves it and pitches a fit when she has to get off.
Having a snack.
Racing each other aroud the track.

Jake decided to just cheer Rylee on for her second lap.
After the park we meet Allison, Emilee and all the kids for lunch at Chick-fil-a.
After lunch they played outside and then ate some ice cream.

Notice the book behind Jake? On our way to eat we stopped at a yard sale and bought Rylee a bunch of books. She has already read half of them, including Stuart Little, Meet Addy (an American girl book) Frog and Toad and a few smaller ones. That girl would read all day.
Sharing a seat.
Hunter dropped his ice cream but got another.
Jonathan also dropped his and Hunter feeling his pain was kind enough to give him some.
Savannah, Kennedy, Lydia and Anna Kate all went to VBS this week. notice the matching shirts
Reese ate her whole thing with a big grin.

That evening we meet David and Emilee's family at the pool.
One of my kids favorite things about going to the pool is getting to "drive" there.

Jake at the wheel
If it isn't your turn to drive then it is just as exciting getting to sit up front.
Rylee decided to try it backwards.

Reese in her coveted life jacket. She loves this thing. She keeps her eye on it and as soon as someone takes it off she is after it. She also screams when someone else puts it on.

We tried to get Jake and Hunter to hold hands and jump in.They couldn't get the timing down.
Hunter in all his craziness helps Jake be more brave.

Reese loves the water and likes to float around by herself.
And usually with her tongue out.

Sorry for so many pictures. But I haven't taken many lately so I am trying to make up for it.

She's walking!

Reese started walking tonight! Just shy of 17 months. She is so funny. She would only walk if she was holding one of my purses. And then later she wanted to also wear a pair of crocs that are too big for her. Not the best circumstances to help her walk but this fits right in with Reese's personality.

The last year of his 20's

David just turned 29.  The kids & I took him to dinner at a restaurant that was part of our engagement story almost 8 years ago!  So it was fun to go back there and see how much our lives have changed.
I wish I could freeze this age.  It is so cute.

The girls.

God has been so kind to us.

Randomness.

Yay for summertime!
We have been enjoying the days around here.  Here are a few random photos to fill you in on our daily life.

Johnny took Anna Kate fishing.  She caught 7 fish!  (We won't talk about the fact that David spent an hour and a half cleaning the fish & I forgot to ever cook them.  Oops.)

This bird was our pet for a few weeks.  It made a nest on Juddson's windowsill and we waited & waited for the babies to appear.  We learned pigeons usually sit on the eggs for 18 days.  Seem like a long time?  Well, we also learned that the male pigeon sits there during the day & the female during the night.  The pigeons are also partners for life!  It was an exciting day when the babies hatched.  (Please ignore my dirty window!)

Any guess on who this is?  Oh it just happens to be Peter, Susan, Lucy, and Edmond.  Yep, they are in our coat closet (AKA - Narnia!)

Jeannie & Christian showed up yesterday with a surprise for Hunter.  His first (& probably only) John Deere.  It's pretty adorable.  We're still working on the driving.  It's faster than the other Powerwheels we have.  The initial drive landed him right into a tree.

Off to do some yard work....
